One of the UK's most prominent fintechs yesterday entered administration.

Wonga, a payday lender that was founded in 2006, collapsed under the weight of a spike in customer compensation claims, many of which were filed in bulk by claims management firms who represent borrowers who alleged that Wonga failed to ensure they could afford the loans they were approved for.
