๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ˜Ž Your Holiday Sales Plan is Inside!

Conversion Minded

Hey there cho! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Guess what? We're smack dab in the middle of October! ๐Ÿคฏ

If you haven't already nailed down your promotions for the season yet, we thought we'd whip up a quick action plan for ya. Because trust us, Q4 is a major opportunity for a boost in sales that you don't want to sleep on.

So, let's get ready to rock your 4th Quarter email campaigns, shall we?

Here's what you're gonna need:

THE WHAT: A Killer Offer

You'll want to decide: Will you offer multiple items or just one product or service? Do you need to create a new package or bundle? Is there a bonus you can add to make your offer more enticing or a new feature to make an existing offer appear more "fresh"?

Keep in mind, your offer isn't just about the thing you're selling. It should also include plenty of urgency to motivate your audience to act – this could be a discount, a bonus, or an exclusive bundle available only for a limited time.

→ Pro-tip: If you can, use countdown timers on your sales page and in your emails to visually reinforce the limited-time nature of your offer. (We use CountdownDynamite for our website and MotionMail for emails.)

✅ THE WHY: A Compelling Theme

You'll want to have "a season or a reason" for your promotion to help you focus your messaging. Will you be introducing a new product? Celebrating a milestone? Or simply tying into the holiday season?

→ By the way: Your choices are not limited to the big holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas—or heck, even Black Friday. We've got 12 holiday email promotion ideas to inspire you here.

✅ THE WHO: A Target Audience

You'll need to determine who should receive your emails. Will it be your entire list or only certain segments? Remember, you'll want to exclude previous purchasers and may want to leave out those who opted in for unrelated freebies.

✅ THE WHEN: A Campaign Timeline

You'll need to plan how many emails to send and over how many days. For a standard promotion, consider a series of 4-6 emails over 3-5 days, with 2 emails on the final day. You can also add a "teaser" email at the beginning of your campaign to let people know to look out for your announcement email.

Putting that all together, it might look something like this (or similar):

Day 1: Teaser
Day 2: Announce
Day 3: Reminder
Day 4: Reminder
Day 5: Last Chance (the morning your sale ends
Day 5: Last Call (3 hours before your sale ends)

✅ THE HOW: Promo Emails

While there will be common elements to all your emails such as "what it is" and when your offer expires, each reminder email should have its own angle. For example, one might include testimonials to provide social proof, another might answer FAQ questions to handle common objections, and another might address a different pain point.

Back to our example then, the angles for each day might look like this:

Day 1: Something special is coming!
Day 2: Here it is! Let me tell you all about it…
Day 3: If you're tired of [pain point], this will help.
Day 4:What our customers are saying about [Product]
Day 5: All your questions about [Product] answered
Day 5: Last chance to save XX%!

Totally doable, right? You got this.
